| sEmoa (Stefan Cimpeanu) is a Romanian born, London-based emerging electronic music DJ / Producer and co-founder of Hours London. Their sonic signature stands at the intersection of minimal, techno and house, enriched by an ambient persona - evident in their expansive discography as well as in their immersive and unexpected performances. Their presence in the European underground has grown steadily, having shared the decks with the likes of Prâslea, Dan Andrei, Matteo Manzini, Tommy Vicari Jnr, Wes Baggaley, Harry Mccana, Suciu in spaces like 17 Little Portland Street, Jaeger Oslo, The Bath House, XOYO, Starlane, Bar Ton, Control Club, Molotov. Eclectic in style, sEmoa's productions are ranging from stripped down percussive rhythms to deep, conceptual sound worlds, always in tune with the pursuit of innovation and respect to the roots of electronic music culture. Throughout their musical career, sEmoa has released across vinyl and digital for : Hours London, STAMP Paris, Duckit Records, Podvodo Records, with a wider selection available on Bandcamp. sEmoa began their sonic journey with classical music in Romania, initially playing the guitar, then the piano. This followed their discovery of the underground electronic music scene, playing and promoting their first local events in their hometown, Ploiesti, later moving to London at the age of 18 to pursue their musical path. |
